Our Vision
Palm Beach Kindergarten offers high quality early childhood education and care for our local community. We believe in providing a play-based program in which diversity is embraced and celebrated, a program that supports the building of life skills, confidence, resilience, and independence.
Palm Beach Kindergarten is committed to supporting each child to feel a sense of belonging and to become confident, creative, and inquisitive learners.
Our Philosophy
Palm Beach Kindergarten would like to acknowledge the land that we gather on each day as the land of the Saltwater People. We acknowledge that the clans of this area have walked lightly upon and cared for this land for thousands of years. We also pay our respect to continuing culture and contributions made by elders’ past, and present. May we continue to share these lands, sky’s and waterways with respect and care.
We believe that all children, families, and educators are unique, capable, and resourceful, and have the right to be treated with respect. We value the strong relationships we build with families. Teachers and Educators work in partnerships with families, as we believe that communication and collaboration is essential for each child to feel secure and have a strong sense of belonging.
We welcome family involvement and encourage them to be active participants in our program, through the sharing of ideas, culture, knowledge, and strengths.
We believe in providing a play-based program that supports opportunities for children to learn as they discover, create, collaborate, improvise, and imagine. We provide a supportive, flexible, and responsive play environment, which ensures a balance between child led, child initiated, and educator supported learning.
We aim to create an environment both indoors and outdoors, that is inviting, inclusive, safe, and secure. We believe that environments play an integral part of how a child learns and providing a stimulating environment is crucial to the development of the children’s interests, abilities, social connections, and self-esteem.
Our Service is committed to implementing and abiding by our Child Safe Environment Policy incorporating the National Child Safe Standards (2022), which accentuates our zero tolerance for child abuse and raising awareness about the importance of child safety in our Service and the community.
We are committed to sustainable practices and encourage caring for country through our policies, practices, and programs.
As Educators we are committed to ongoing professional development, to engage in critical reflection and stay informed of new research and contemporary educational approaches.
Our program and practices are informed and supported by the Early Years Learning Framework, The National Quality Standards, ECA Code of Ethics, Child Safe Standards and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
